Miss Louise – Director

Miss Louise has been dancing since the age of three, training in Ballet, Modern, Scottish, Contemporary, Tap, and Street Dance. She has performed in numerous pantomimes, theatre productions, fashion shows, and trade events, and has also choreographed for solo artists and groups in both England and Japan.

Passionate about injury prevention and rehabilitation, Miss Louise holds several dance and fitness qualifications. She is a RAD Registered Teacher and holds a Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) qualification, alongside her ISTD Associate Diploma, Pilates certification, BBO Level 5 Ballet, Acrobatic Arts qualification, and a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts.

Miss Louise is dedicated to lifelong learning and best teaching practices. She loves sharing her knowledge, passion, and love for dance with all students at Borders School of Dance.

Miss Holly – Vice Principal

Miss Holly discovered her love for dance at a young age, studying ballet, modern, and tap. At seventeen, she moved north to train full-time at Ballet West Scotland, where she focused on classical technique and also trained in contemporary, commercial, and choreography.

During her three years at Ballet West, she performed with the touring company in productions such as Swan Lake. Holly graduated with First Class Honours and returned to Edinburgh to focus on teaching. She also holds a Master’s in Dance Science and Education from the University of Edinburgh, an Acrobatic Arts certification and a Progressing Ballet Technique qualification.

Holly is thrilled to be part of Borders School of Dance. She loves helping students grow in skill, confidence, and joy in every class.

Miss Emma

Miss Emma began dancing at age three at Southside School of Dance, training in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Contemporary and Commercial. She was a member of the competition team and a BBO Ballet Associate.

She later completed full-time professional training at Preston College, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Dance Teaching, Choreography and Performance, and holds her I.S.T.D DDE and Actrotrix qualification.

Following recent performances at Disneyland Paris, Emma is delighted to be back in Scotland and looks forward to inspiring the next generation of dancers.

Miss Olivia

Miss Olivia started dancing at the age of three at Southside School of Dance and quickly fell in love with performing. She earned her BA (Hons) in Dance Performance from Preston College and completed her I.D Contemporary teacher training with Ryan Jenkins.

Olivia is passionate about teaching and choreography and holds her ISTD DDE Modern qualification. She is also a school admin assitant and is excited to inspire and support students at Borders School of Dance.

Miss Rach

Miss Rach began dancing at the age of five with Miss Louise at Southside School of Dance, our sister school. She trained in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Acro, Contemporary, and Commercial before moving into full-time training at Dance For All Theatre School. There, she earned her HND in Professional Stage Dance and began working on her ISTD Diploma in Dance Education.

Rach has worked professionally in resorts in Cyprus, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and is now on the books for Disney Cruises. She also holds her Acrotrix Level 1 & 2 qualifications and loves inspiring the next generation at Borders School of Dance.

Miss Maggie

Miss Maggie has been dancing since the age of three, training in ballet, modern, tap, contemporary, acro and commercial. As a competitive dancer, she achieved success across the UK, winning a number of national titles.

A familiar face at Borders School of Dance, Miss Maggie is known for her warm, caring nature and infectious smile. She is First Aid trained and holds her Acrotrix qualification.

Having regularly supported classes, shows and events over the years, Miss Maggie is delighted to be teaching more regularly and looks forward to inspiring the next generation of dancers to grow in confidence and develop a lifelong love of dance.

Miss Megan

Miss Megan has been dancing since she was a toddler and loved it so much she pursued full-time training at Dance For All College. She gained her HND in Professional Stage Dance and later performed in Egypt, Jordan, New York, and across the UK, all while achieving her Level 3 Personal Training qualification.

Fun fact: Megan was part of a cheerleading team for Scotland’s rugby team and even performed for Sir Billy Connolly in NYC!

Megan joined Borders School of Dance in November 2024. She now runs our admin and is the first point of contact for parents and students.

Miss Michelle

Miss Michelle is already a very familiar face here at Borders School of Dance, and we’re so lucky to have her as part of our teaching team!

Michelle has been dancing from a young age, training extensively in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Acro and Contemporary. Her years of training have given her a real love of dance and a passion for passing that on to her own pupils.

Miss Michelle holds her Theatre Branch teaching qualification with UKA Dance, alongside qualifications in Acrotrix and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), giving her a brilliant mix of training and experience to bring to her classes.

More than anything, Michelle is passionate about making sure every child has a really positive experience at dancing. Her classes are encouraging, supportive and full of fun, helping dancers build their confidence, develop their skills and, most importantly, enjoy being in the studio.

We absolutely love having Miss Michelle as part of our team, inspiring the next generation of dancers here in the Borders.
